The first Overseas Removals request came from a Mrs Marshall who was moving from Lytham to Laganas on the island of Zakynthos in Greece. Stephen quickly became hooked on moving people abroad and since then the company has become a specialist in moving people and their homes to and from France and almost every other country in Western Europe. As a result we are now moving previous clients back to England on their return. All areas of France are covered with a near fortnightly service to all areas. We operate a part load service that covers the whole of France and Spain. If you are ordering new furniture for your holiday home we can take delivery of it for you at our warehouse and then deliver it at a time when one of our vehicles is nearby. If you are moving back to the UK it pays to check with our schedule as if we have an outward move booked you could take advantage of a reduced price backload.. The most common destinations visited within France on our Removals to France are; Brittany (which is handy as Stephen’s dad lives there), Normandy and these two regions are served on a fortnightly basis. After this comes Poitou Charentes, The Dordogne, The Auvergne, and the Cote d’Azur. The truck has also recently visited Calvi in Corsica. Our frequent Removals to Spain take us regularly down to Malaga and Benidorm. Smart Moves have a two man crew and collect loads of all shapes and sizes from all over the UK from full houses to single items for onward delivery to anywhere in France and you can have items sent to our storage warehouse if buying new items in the UK to be kept for consolidation with other part loads. One of the benefits that clients enjoy from using Smart Moves is that as Stephen is an owner driver who takes great pride in his work they find he is with the client every step of the way from the initial enquiry to unloading at their new residence in France. That personal service is quite a rare occurrence nowadays. All overseas removals undertaken are covered by Goods in Transit and Marine Insurance and we can supply boxes to anywhere in the UK and France.
